Environmental Baseline Assessment of the South Shore Industrial Complex of St. Croix, USVI

Last year Geographic Consulting conducted a mangrove forest habitat assessment along the south shore of St. Croix. We published a short blog post about the field work at the time. Our field team collected data along evenly distributed transects around the former oil refinery. The results were compared to reference data we collected in Great Pond. Hank Tonnemacher and 7 Seas completed benthic habitat assessment at the same time. Industrial Economics Inc  managed the data and presented it to the Virgin Islands Department of Planning and Natural Resources.  A one page fact sheet on the project to the public appears below.
